Applying the theory of multiple intelligence grooming young ones to enhance performance

At Delhi World Public School we believe and follow the theory of multiple intelligence coined by the renowned psychologist and professor Howard Gardner, who believes that each student has a different intellectual composition and learners, remembers, performs, and understands things in different ways. These multiple students to improve the performances in academic as co-curricular activities.

In Gardener's words this gives a serious challenge to an educational system that assumes that everyone can learn the same material in the same way and that a uniform, universal measure suffices to test student learning.

While the current educational system is heavily biased toward linguistic modes of instruction and assessment to a somewhat lesser degree, toward logical quantitative modes as well.Gardens believes that a contrasting set for assumption is more likely to be educationally effective.

Our school's most vibrnant zone is the pre-primary wing, where we begin developing the leaders of tomorrow. We follow Mahatma Gandhi's principle of "NAI TALIM" and emphasis on "learning while doing". Stretching on the meaning that knowledge and activities go hand in hand.

Delhi World Public School also believes that children are active learners, explorers, experimenters and artists. Keeping these aspects in mind we offer them a rich, meaningful and balanced curriculum which enables their mind to open up and see things from a positive perspective.

The classrooms for these future leaders are planned with various real as well as innovative themes, which includes underwater, space, animals etc. to make them understand the difference between real and imaginary world. We also have both indoor and outdoor activity areas for our tiny tots, the places where they are trained to develop necessary skills. A great amount of focus is given on development of multiple skills in children through language, phonic activities, and stress is laid on development of cognitive skills.
